At The Small Magic Foundation, we’re dedicated to empowering kids, no matter their circumstances, to discover their passions, unlock their potential, and build brighter futures.

Through our Small Magic Opportunity Grants, students ages 13–19 are invited to apply for funding to bring their ideas to life. Youths partner with a school, nonprofit, church, or community organization to design and lead a project that directly benefits their community. These grants empower young people to move from idea to action—building leadership, confidence, and real-world impact along the way.

Together, we’re not just helping kids—we’re building a generation that will make the world a better place.

Youth-Led Grants Program

Small magic sometimes requires funding. Through our youth-led grants program, we empower young people to lead community service projects and discover the true magic of philanthropy for the future. It’s not a handout, but a hand up—kids must put in effort and work to earn their support.

There are no free rides, just opportunities to grow, learn, and make a real difference.

Where the magic started…

Lisa Demmi founded The Small Magic Foundation because she believes that the way to change the world is by ensuring the magic is passed on to the next generation. The youth of today need opportunities to experience small magic for themselves—and then learn how to share it with others. Small magic is about taking small steps to make a big impact: small acts of kindness, bravery, and taking risks. It’s about helping children access the tools, resources, and guidance they need to reach their full potential.

The beauty of small magic is that it’s simple—you can just help. Whether it’s a spark of inspiration, a helping hand, or access to the right tools, these small moments add up to create a ripple effect of kindness and change.
